- correct together as a class, if there are any incorrect, note them and remember!
- All groups have about 15 min to finish their volcano rap, song, chant, poem
- you can practice it together as a group: finger snap, clapping, stomping can be used to keep a beat (not too loud!).
- fast or slow beat? multiple beats? If you have a lot of time left, you can look online for beats (with no words) to use with your volcano song/chant.
- use at least 5 vocab words! Bonus for each extra one you use!
- Make sure it makes sense.
- Each group stands at their table and performs their song/chant for the class.
Volcano game Supervolcanoes are real and if one has a massive eruption soon or in the future, it could wipe out a whole area or effect large parts of the world! These eruptions could be 1000 times stronger than an atomic bomb!
Try this game and see how well you do in evacuating a city. You have 14 days to plan but no one knows exactly when the volcano will erupt. You have to tell the citizens information about the eruption, set up evacuee camps and road blocks... all in 6 minutes. You also have to watch your budget (how much money you have to spend over the 14 days!).
