Lesson 7:
Review of the 3 types of volcanoes. See the power point presentation (below for review)
Add volcano vocabulary to Word Walls (sign in to your wikispace)
Using at least 5 volcano vocabulary words, create a chant or song about: a specific volcano, a volcano vocabulary word, a type of volcano, etc. Your group can add bonus points by using more volcano vocabulary (they have to make sense).

Instructions for today:
1. Go over powerpoint slides about strartovolcano, cinder cone volcano and shield volcanoes.

2. Open your word doc from the last lesson (lesson 6: volcano chart) and fill in any missing information in your chart (step #2).

3. Sign in to your wikispace (link on the left menu). Add the following words to your word wall and define them. Please use the volcanoes online glossary linkor use the above powerpoint presentation to help with definitions.

4. In groups, create a volcano chant. Use AT LEAST 5 volcano vocabulary from above. 1 bonus mark will be given for each added vocabulary above the standard 5. Note: they have to make sense!
To perform: clap, stomp, slapping the desk, etc. can be done to keep the beat! Type your chant in your wikispace!
