How can we calculate where the earthquake's epicentre is?
Power point presentation overview:
Triangulation! (Using 3 seismogram recordings from the same area)

1. Reading seismogram: seismic waves animation
S - P time interval (seconds)
Amplitude (tallest wave, mm)

2. Converting S - P interval (seconds) into Distance (KM)

3. Using this information to show distance from seismograph location to possible epicentre location.
Draw radius around seismograph locations.

4. 3 distances = 3 circles (radii) = earthquake epicentre!

Using a NOMOGRAPH to find magnitude (Richter scale) of the earthquake from our seismograms!
